Nevada
We don’t have verified Nevada rules on file yet, so a report for a home here states no state legal requirements. It still flags what an estimate leaves out, and tells you to confirm permits with the local building department and licensing with the state board.
Federal, for AC and heat pump quotes
Minimum AC efficiency (Southwest)
A split-system central air conditioner installed in Arizona, California, Nevada or New Mexico on or after January 1, 2023 must be rated at least 14.3 SEER2 under 45,000 Btu/hr of certified cooling capacity or 13.8 SEER2 at or above it, and must also meet an EER2 of at least 11.7 (under 45,000 Btu/hr) or 11.2 (45,000 and up) when its SEER2 is below 15.2, or 9.8 when its SEER2 is 15.2 or higher. A split-system heat pump made on or after that date needs at least 14.3 SEER2 and 7.5 HSPF2.
